Getting There

Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon is located at 1011 University Drive in Saskatoon, a short walk from Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, Royal University Hospital and the Saskatoon Cancer Clinic. Other facilities like Saskatoon City Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital and Kinsmen Children’s Centre are only a short drive from the House.

Putting family-centred care first

Our mission is to keep families together during challenging times so that it reduces stress and provides families with a hopeful, and positive environment.

We provide private, comfortable, spacious, and modern guest rooms with queen beds for families with children 18 years of age or under receiving medical treatment. Family members include those people in direct care of the child in the hospital.

To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the House is equipped with a variety of amenities and supplies.

Staying at the House

  • 34 guest rooms (towels and linens provided).
  • Two fully-equipped community kitchens & large shared dining room. Fridge space and personal pantry space available.
  • Five TV sitting areas and a variety of quiet sitting spaces.
  • Five sets of washer and dryers with laundry supplies provided.
  • Two mother and day-use rooms with napping chairs and breast pumps.
  • Phone in all rooms with message managers and one shared long-distance phone with free calling.
  • Computer area with three work stations and an art station for children. Complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the House.
  • Spacious side yard & deck with children’s play area and BBQs.
  • Children’s playroom, games & media room, multi-purpose room for arts & crafts, and fitness room.
  • Fresh baked cookies, breakfast program three mornings each week, and rotational dinner programs.

Check-In time is between 8:30am-8:30pm.

Check-Out time is between 8:30am-9:00pm.

There is room for 1 vehicle per family in our on-site parking. We also offer complimentary shuttle service to local hospitals and clinics.

In our comfortable and inclusive communal living environment, we ask families to follow and respect the guidelines set out by RMHC-SK including; close supervision of children, cleaning up after yourself, no consumption of alcohol and drugs on the property, and smoking only in the designated areas.

If your stay is being supported by an outside agency or charity, we ask for billing approval by fax or email before arrival.

To ensure the health and wellbeing of all families in the House , we ask you to find alternate accommodations if you or a family member are ill. If you are in need of assistance finding alternate arrangements, please connect with RMHC-SK staff members.

We provide complimentary breakfast 6 days a week. The Home for Dinner program provides families a warm cooked meal 3 evenings each week.

These meals are provided by the generous donations of the community. Check our house screen monitors and look for notices posted around the House for Home for Dinner nights.

We offer a variety of programming such as Home for Dinner, Breakfast program, Bingo and Games Night, Nail Night, Pet therapy and Kids Care program.
