The Corbett Family

We live several hours away from Saskatoon and do not have anywhere to stay in the city. My son Maclin has ulcerative colitis and has had many investigations, treatments, and follow-ups at JPCH.  They are always early morning appointments so getting up at 3 am to drive to an appointment when the roads are not always favorable is not a wonderful or safe option“.

“I am forever grateful to the Ronald McDonald House for the help and support with both my boys on several different occasions.  I was the parent who said but my kids aren’t sick. The Ronald McDonald House is for families with sick kids!  When I said this to the manager, she assured me that I did in fact have a sick kid and that the Ronald McDonald House is here for all kids who need medical interventions, no matter how big or small.

My son Maclin has ulcerative colitis and has had many investigations, treatments, and follow-ups at JPCH.  They are always early morning appointments so getting up at 3 am to drive to an appointment when the roads are not always favorable is not a wonderful or safe option.

When my son Grady broke his ankle in 3 places and had to have surgery at JPCH, once again Ronald McDonald House was there for us.

I am so pleased to say that both boys are doing amazing.  Maclin is 19 and in his second year of University and is making his acting debut with Broadway Theatre in Feb 2025. Grady is 17 and is active in playing football, hockey, and baseball.

I am so thankful to the Ronald McDonald House for being so accommodating no matter what the circumstances. The staff and volunteers are wonderful and caring.  We always felt at home, safe, and special while at the Ronald McDonald House.
