The Read Family

“The cost of staying at RMH was significantly less and much more affordable than having to stay at a Hotel. Which greatly relieved me of that financial burden..”

“My name is Kimberly Sagan and my son’s name is Spenser Read and we live in Melville, SK.

In 2019 Spenser was diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases. Which meant many trips to Saskatoon to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital for the next 5 years to see two different specialists.

Saskatoon is a 3.5-hour drive from Melville which makes for a very long day. We would have to go up to Saskatoon sometimes a couple of times a month.

I learned about the Ronald McDonald House shortly after we started going to Saskatoon. Staying there was truly a God send and we are very fortunate to have such a facility in our province. It is right across the street from the University which is very convenient.

The staff & volunteers are truly remarkable and very friendly. They go above and beyond their jobs.

It was a treat to have cooked meals after a long day’s drive. I didn’t have to drive all over the city to find someplace to eat. What a relief that was!

The rooms we stayed in were very clean and had a beautiful atmosphere.

The cost of staying at RMH was significantly less and much more affordable than having to stay at a Hotel. Which greatly relieved me of that financial burden.

We met some very good friends along the way and heard some incredible stories. We will truly miss seeing everyone & our stays at the RMH. The RMH will always hold a special place in our hearts and they will continue to have our support!
